Airport Maldives:
Male International Airport (MLE)
Location: The airport is sited one mile (2km) northeast of Male.
Time: GMT +5.

Transfer to the city: There are 24-hour boat services for transfers to the city of Male and to various surrounding resort islands. Taxis are not available at the airport, but are available at Male.

Car rental: None.
Facilities: Facilities at the airport include a bank, bureau de change, pharmacy, duty free shops, a free shower room, restaurant and post office. There are left luggage facilities, and a first aid station.

Departure Tax: US$10.

Air Taxi Maldives: There are 2 Air Taxi companies. Both companies use the classic water planes to travel from Male to the other island resorts. Air Taxi’s do not fly after sunset. When you book your resort/hotel these air taxi transfers are normally included.
