FOOD AND WATER IN THE MALDIVES
Water Maldives: Do not drink tap water unless it has been boiled, filtered, or chemically disinfected. Do not drink unbottled beverages or drinks with ice.
Some types of fish may contain poisonous biotoxins even when cooked. Barracuda in particular should never be eaten. Other fish that may contain toxins include red snapper, grouper, amberjack, sea bass, and a large number of tropical reef fish.
Food Maldives:Local Food in the Maldives contain mainly fresh caught fish (tuna), rice, curries and coconut. Their breakfast is like most other Asian countries and consists of chicken/tuna and fried rice.
If you are more looking for your own home cooked meal than you are happy to know that most resorts serve a wide variety of western foods for you to choose from.
